Dafna Kapshud
( She/Her/Hers )Dafna Kapshud has a long history of fundraising, marketing, and communications roles primarily in nonprofit and educational organizations. She has worked in a diverse range of industries from education, senior services, and healthcare to performing arts and workforce management. She most recently spent five and a half years at San Mateo County Community Colleges Foundation, helping raise funds for scholarships and programs at Cañada College, College of San Mateo, and Skyline College. She's proud of the awareness and donations she helped secure during her tenure and is grateful to the Foundation’s generous supporters. Prior to that, Dafna was Development and Communications Manager for Episcopal Senior Communities Foundation, supporting programs for frail, low-income, and isolated seniors. For over 10 years, Dafna also served in the marketing and development departments of various organizations including Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School, where she directed all marketing and communications for the public launch of a successful $14.8 million capital campaign, and San Francisco Performances, where she led branding and messaging campaigns as well as logo and website redesign efforts.
Dafna is passionate about serving her community and has been a pro-bono consultant for the Taproot Foundation, providing her marketing expertise to small nonprofit organizations in the Bay Area. She is also committed to helping vulnerable seniors as a former Board member and current supporter of Meals on Wheels of Alameda County.
Dafna holds a Master in Fine Arts degree in Theatre Management from Florida State University and a law degree from the University of Florida. She received her B.A. in International Studies from Johns Hopkins University.
