Jim Muyo

Jim Muyo joined SFSU in 2025 and brings with him a wealth of experience and accomplishment in higher education communications and marketing, having led teams that won scores of Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Awards for design and writing. Following 22 years at the University of San Francisco (USF), where he built a communications office overseeing website, branding and the establishment of an award-winning magazine, he joined the Jesuits West Province for the Society of Jesus as Director of Communications. He returned to higher ed after seven years with stops at Samuel Merritt University and the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Jim earned his B.A. in Journalism from SFSU and his MBA from USF.
