The Institute for Wine, Food and Restaurant Management will establish the region’s only current entity to coordinate education, research and applied learning across the fine food, restaurant and wine industries. The Institute will feature a Wine Auditorium and restaurant and will prepare students for careers in the Bay Area and beyond.
SF State’s Hospitality, Tourism and Management department is the largest in northern California yet has a small number of partnerships engaging the region’s landmark restaurants and wineries and hotels.


The goal for the Institute is $4,000,000

Institute for Innovation
The Institute for Innovation will include an incubator space, access to angel funding, scholarships, awards and an endowed chair.
